HERITAGE PUMP Model HTI-175-11
The Heritage Pump is designed to pump maple syrup from the finishing tank through the filter press and into the bottling tank.
Features
All components of the Heritage Pump in continuous, direct contact with maple syrup meets Ontario Regulation 119/11 specifications outlined in section 1.3 and are made with stainless steel containing a minimum 16% chromium.
The Heritage Pump is designed with straight cut gears running on a 5/8” shaft that do not create end thrust and offer quiet operation.
The Heritage Pump can be easily disassembled with 5 machine screws for inspection and end of season cleaning. O-rings must be properly seated in o-ring channel when re-assembling.
The Heritage Pump is robust in design with metals (components?) of equal expansion rates for efficient pumping through a temperature range typical of processing/filtering maple syrup.
The Heritage Pump is designed with a ¾” inlet/outlet to fit into a maple cream machine.
The Heritage Pump is built to last and give you years of service. Continuous pumping using a filter aide will inherently cause pump wear. The manufacturer will offer basic and complete rebuilding options when the time comes.
The Heritage Pump has a flow rate of 12 litres/minute operating at 600 rpm.
Pumping Recommendations
- Never operate the pump dry.
- New pumps should be washed with hot soapy water to remove any manufacturing residue. Rinse thoroughly with water. Lubricate pump with food grade grease before using.
- Prime the pump with liquid before using.
- The Heritage Pump moves 12 litres/minute operating at 600 rpm using a 1/3 hp 1725 rpm electric motor (6” pulley on the motor and 2” pulley on the pump).
- Flush the pump with hot water at the end of use. The pump can be disassembled with 5 machine screws for inspection and thorough cleaning. O-rings must be properly seated in o-ring channel when re-assembling. O-ring kits are available. Tighten the machine screws to maximum 20 ft lb.
- The Heritage Pump ¾” inlet/outlet is designed with a custom ORB fitting and threads to protect the pump body. The fitting seals on the o-ring so it is not necessary to over tighten. If removed, reassemble and tighten to a maximum 20 ft lb. Do not replace the inlet/outlet fitting with any other fitting.
- Lubricate pump with minimal food grade grease. The grease fittings are not intended for continuous grease application.
